Today I was in the other Jk class. Today’s task was similar to the other ones I have been doing but with a new twist. This testing was not for the teacher next year it was for there report cards. She explained to the class that they would come one at a time with me and we would do the testing in the library. When we got there I explained what we would be doing. The first thing was I had to point to a chart of different numbers up to 100 and they had to identify as many as they could, then I marked down how high they could go. The next part was to identify uppercase letters; if they could identify it I would put a slash (/). Then once they were done they had to do the same with lowercase letters. Then came a part that was a bit harder, they had to make the sound each letter makes when it’s in a word. The last part was to do some reading and since they are Jk and so young some of them had lots of trouble. Then the last part was to say out loud numbers as high as they could go. I got through six students which is good because it was a lot of work and took a while.

After the break when I was with Mrs. MacDonald I helped mark work the class did today, and put stickers on some art. Then at the end of the day I stacked the chairs and helped get the students ready for home time.
